(no subject)

I am now on episode 73 of Vox Machina, and this is one of the parts I wasn't looking forward to, the episodes right before and right after the 2016 election. Already there's been the players urging everyone to vote, which we now know was done in vain. And I didn't even know until I started that episode this morning that Matt's elaborate Lovecraft-themed proposal happened the week before a sexist, racist, anti-Semitic monster was elected president. I wasn't even able to enjoy seeing the first announcement of Talks Machina. (Though while I've read Brian's speech about what had happened from the November 15 episode, I actually didn't know that was the debut! Talk about getting thrown in at the deep end.)
Mom and I got our ballots. We're planning to deal with them tomorrow. I'm hoping the process will prove pretty similar to how it was back when I was in school, though she seems to expect it'll be harder.
