My sister actually came in and talked with us for half an hour! My mother even insisted on hugging her, though we more or less kept our distance otherwise. We exchanged updates, and she even gave us the contact info for someone willing to come to our house and trim our hair in the backyard. Except when my mom called her today, she found her voicemail was full, so we must assume it'll be a while.
Since taking the first week of the U.S. Open worked really well, I attempted to do it again for the French. Except I got the start of qualifying confused with the start of the actual tournament, only discovering my mistake after I'd already set everything up to go on leave this week. At least I'll see as much of qualifying as the Tennis Channel deigns to show? If they don't have to cancel everything anyway.
