Getting Promoted

One good think about taking over the duties for someone who outranks you: it makes it easy to promote you, as in, I'm going to official get graded up to a GS-11 and get paid more. I actually found my official position description today, though, which was already allowing for that, though whether it would've happened if I hadn't been one of relatively few people not leaving the place is anyone's guess. But first there is the paperwork to be done, of course. So far the most stressful part of the process happened today, when I had to update the resume that was last updated in 2013, when I was being forced to move on from my previous office because they couldn't make me permanent. They want to have your resume on hand when they upgrade you. It was a good thing I actually didn't have to impress anyone with it, since I don't entirely know all the rules of what you're supposed to put in that field of duties and accomplishments; I merely had to put in enough for it to be serviceable. Although it still caused considerable distress when I lost what I put in that field and had to write it over. I was glad to go home early after that.
Currently up to the beginning of the 6th episode of Jessica Jones, and I've already been spoiled for the painful parts of it, so at this point I'm procrastinating watching. The whole series itself is hard to watch, because it's so terrifying. I've gotten through it partly by watching episodes in sections, very often on my phone on the way to work. It's a good thing I've got Claire Temple to look forward to.
