Sat in on my sister going over my mother's finances today. She may be scarce the next couple of months, so I may have to be going over them with her then. Fortunately we won't be spending as much then, since we don't do much Christmas shopping, and took our big vacation already(and paid most of the bills for it this month). In fact, I presented my sister with her Christmas present today, since I'm starting to seriously wonder if we'll see her at all between now and February. She also put the new Hola app on our Chromes, so now we stream BBC. I'll have a choice of when I watch Doctor Who, a very useful thing to have, and also be able to watching Strictly Come Dancing. I watched a couple of videos of on YouTube Sunday, which really drove home to me how badly I miss Len.
Before she left, she also tried to explain the important of the new Star Wars movie to my mother, and even showed her the latest trailer, which mostly went over her head, although at least she knows who Harrison Ford is. I ended up repeating to her what the film studies professor had said about Star Wars and how he showed us the World War II movie scene Han and Luke shooting the tie fighters was based on, and more general academic points about it and film history, which I think she understood better.
Not terribly happy about the latest plot twist of Agents of SHIELD; I feel the character involved deserved better. Enjoyed Star Wars:Rebels just now; I'm starting to really love Chopper. You always love the droids; this new BB guy will no doubt be the same that way.
Last week I had to go out to work in the dark, now I come home in the dark. I'm not really sure which of those is better or worse.
