missizzy Spent today trying to record a clean "Comes and Goes" until I feared I'd seriously damaged my arm. I neither got through the whole thing clean the entire way nor sung it as well as I have while practicing. I might try again tomorrow, but I think I may just spend another week working on it. Especially since tomorrow I'm going to head out to enjoy the Cherry Blossom festival.
I also intend at some point soon to email the realtor again, since after months of looking at the pictures of the various condos she claims I can buy, I'd like to look at one or two of them in person. But on the other hand, it's going to be a while before I go for anything, if I do at all. I now intend to speak to a counselor about it, but I'm on a waiting list for that and might have to wait months, and I really do want the advice, especially now that the latest theory is I'd have to initially take the mortgage out from the dodgy bank holding company guy the realtor works with, and then negotiate the moving of it to a more trustworthy bank after a year. It seems getting a place of your own in 2015 America is tricky even if you're theoretically making decent money.
One of the rejection letters from the various agents that have been sending me them suggested my opening wasn't "forward-moving" enough, with the introduction of all the main characters being too much exposition. Although that happens in the second scene, and I the first scene definitely has some action to it. I could try to rewrite the whole chapter, but I'm not sure how to do so in a way that would make it stronger rather than weaker, and the main characters all really need to be there together.
