missizzyThis afternoon, having been released 59 minutes early, I still got off the metro having just missed the bus, the wind picking up, and some lightning in the distance. My reaction to that is to start walking and hope I make it home ahead of the storm. I almost did; I was mostly there when the rain really started to fall. After that, though, I'm not going anywhere tomorrow. Stay in, watch Wimbledon, plan a trip to New York in the fall with my mom. Maybe run out for orange juice if we run out, but nothing besides that. Saturday we go to Signature to see a detective musical parody called Cloak and Dagger.
A mostly dull week in my life, spiked up by getting mad at the news of the bigger world. I suppose I should count myself lucky the government isn't allowed to have religious beliefs, so can't go fussing over my benefits because of it, but I suspect that's yet another reason conservatives will feel motivated to attack federal workers. Glad to spend next week at the track rather than the treadmill; spare me having to see CNN(though they were at least an improvement over Congress in that they had women discussing the birth control debate. And they even found out about Hobby Lobby's hypocritical investments. Eventually; it apparently took them until two days after the ruling)
