Way too tired to be writing right now...
Sep. 6th, 2013 10:03 pmToday in the saga of helping mom adapt to new things, I went with her through the process of downloading the New Yorker iPhone app(which took way too long to download) and activating her account, after she bought a new subscription to the magazine after letting the old one run out, saying she missed it. Though from my own experiments so far, I don't think the iPhone is at all ideal for reading anything that purports to have pages. I've been trying to reread "A Study in Scarlet" on it, but am wary as to whether I'll be able to keep my place in it.
Have found the iPhone is nice to have too and from work, but the battery drains way too quickly, even though I have to turn it off and mute it when in my office. Today at the end of the day the battery was only 10%, though it still lasted all the way home, so...
Dad continues to deteriorate. Mom is now cooking him soup and serving it to him in bed; he vomited at the dinner table earlier this week. They don't want to do the chemotherapy anymore, after that.
