missizzyThe internet has by and large stopped working on my old computer; since we got the faulty router replaced Wednesday, I haven't seen it last more than twenty minutes without failing. Everything else is back to situation normal; only that computer isn't. It's to the point I may now have to retire it earlier than planned.
I rather foolishly tried to watch Critical Role on it last night. I spent two hours trying to watch on it, and got only a little more than an hour watched. It was a good thing the episode was shorter than usual; I still finished it this evening as has become normal. Though honestly, when it was 11 PM and I'd barely gotten past the opening sequence, I very nearly gave up, largely with the thought that if this was just going to be a TPK (and the shorter length and lack of cooldown left me thinking it would be) I didn't really need to watch it. I was seconds away from turning it off when the internet starting working for its twenty-minute window and Brennan Lee Mulligan admitted that actually, Tyranny had made that save at the end of the previous episode, and that got me to continue. Still hair-raising, but it was worth it for what we should probably all start calling "Thimbo." Thimble is absolutely my favorite character in this thing and it's fun seeing Laura be badass. I just hope those two spent death saves don't come back to bite her in the ass, especially since I'm kind of worried about whether or not even a long rest would reset that."
Literally also just finished my Christmas shopping, and it all should be here by the 25th, though I'm not sure when my family is getting together to exchange presents anyway. Especially since my brother-in-law actually got sick this week, though I think he's now recovering.
