missizzyI am currently experimenting with trying to record myself singing with my webcam. With the new computer much nearer to the keyboard, doing so's now much easier, and it obviously solves the problem of getting the video onto a PC for posting. Though the sound quality of my keyboard is also degrading, and the sinuses aren't at all good right now, so while I've been trying to record my current song for a couple weekends now, I really don't know when I'm going to get anything postable.
Mom has suddenly hit upon the idea of a family trip to New York, to see a Jane Austen exhibit they've got on display there. I fear she would insist on my sister driving us there, though, instead of trying to take the train, which would be hell. We've also talked about possibly going to the beach for a weekend, which would be a shorter trip, at least. It would be a big thing, certainly, if she proved able to travel at all outside DC. I've honestly had doubts in recent months that she ever would again.
(Unless, of course, we found ourselves taking the kind of trip that was one-way. But right now, we don't have anywhere to go, so...)
