missizzyI did my taxes Saturday night. I had to resort to TurboTax again, but doing it there for the second year in a row meant it went really quickly; I was done within an hour. The federal return was accepted before I went to bed, and the state return the next day. The former cost me eighteen dollars, but the latter gave me back eight.
The more I feel the strains of currently being employed by the U.S. government, the more I want to try streaming once we get Fios, just to not let them take that from me. Which I suppose could always complicate my taxes next year, but I've got the feeling I'm not very likely to make enough money for it to cause any real trouble, so...
The library still continues not yet disturbed. A shutdown wouldn't have affected us anyway, what with the way our funding works, though we would've had way fewer people coming in. (Though the military personnel, of course, would've also been exempt, so we wouldn't have had nobody.) I got paid as usual last week.
