missizzyThe gay guys next door are relocating to DC, though apparently they're going to rent the house out instead of selling it. They no longer feel safe in this neighborhood. It may have been littered with Harris signs this past month, but there's one household that swatted their neighbors, probably just for putting out a Ukrainian flag. There's one right-wing asshole that at one point tried to convince my mom to sell and move away. It'd take much more than his bullying to get her to leave this house, but he might have been pressuring them as well.
And as if this week hadn't been bad enough, my sister's older cat was put down today. There was a time when she and her husband actually had five cats: the one he had when they got together, the two they adopted together, and the two she took in when they split up for a year. Drake was the last survivor of the five of them. Arguably he was the last survivor of the seven cats the five of us had between us, since we first got Ian and Clarissa as part of that era. They still have the pair they adopted early in the pandemic, though one of them has given them a scare in the past.
