About to go vote

Mom and I are up, washed, and dressed, and we're now waiting for my sister to arrive to take us to our polling place. It would be in walking distance, normally, but this could be stressful enough without my mom trying to navigate the hills of our area with her walker. We actually meant to go on Sunday, but found out then all the early voting places had only operated until Saturday.
Story of this week, honestly. That's the last time I ever try to buy anything during a Ticketmaster general sale. I'm holding out hope of getting a resaled ticket for the NYCC one-shot, preferably by someone who found they couldn't go. There's a Google spreadsheet available for that.
It was also Wednesday when I got a comment on the fic I'd posted that day gushing about it, the kind I normally love getting, especially on a day like that. Also even then I recognized it as kind of fishy, not really reflecting what I'd just posted. My fears were confirmed when I saw that the user (whose account was empty) had posted an identical comment on another Gale/Tav fic. I'm not sure what their motives were; most scam comments come with an offer, and this one had none. But more than that, I'm just depressed. Can't even rely on AO3 kudos or comments to be genuine any more.
