Jan. 15th, 2024 12:20 pmIt's snowing. Not the first time it's snowed this winter here. There was even a little flurrying yesterday. But this is definitely the most snow I've seen coming down in two years. It's still a pleasant sight. Certainly pleasanter than the wild winds we've been having in recent days, strong enough the lights have even flickered a couple of times-which have subsided for at least today. It's like we're getting a day off from climate change.
I've needed today off, too, after my stress levels finally got to me physically in a rather unpleasant manner this weekend. Which is actually the second time in the past five years that's happened to me on MLK weekend. Not the first time I've seen this particular problem subside and flare up at specific times of the year. I'm left to wonder how many medical conditions follow the seasons without the general public realizing they do so. If it follows the pattern, I should at least be through the worst of it, though this time I'm also benefiting by not having to commute tomorrow.
