missizzyIt's been a week of coughing, teleworking whenever I didn't have a fever or was at the doctor's, waking up in the wee hours Thursday morning with my entire left side hurting, and going from wondering when the cough was going to go away to what I was supposed to do with my side hurting terribly and painkillers not working at all, culminating in a bunch of medical tests, the kind that mostly rule possibilities out. Mom and I got proper PCR tests for Covid, which also came up negative, and they've found nothing else so far either, though the last test was only this morning. They also gave me multiple medications. Though cough suppressant hasn't helped much, but I'm hoping the stuff they gave me for the side pain does.
It might be helping; all my symptoms have been down this morning. It's not even entirely impossible I'll go back into the office tomorrow. Though I still don't really have my voice back, which is what's freaking me out most at the moment. Mom is still struggling more; she even wrote to the doctor about it this morning. He wrote back that sometimes these colds just last for this long, and there's not much to be done about that. He also suggested more things we could get at the drug store.
Mom made sure to mask up when she went for them. I think we're both going to be getting a lot more strict about keeping ourselves masked for quite a while. There's too much reason to even when you don't get Covid.
