One week after the ashes came down to DC, we're still only mostly recovered. I'm even starting to fear my original plan of trying to record my next song over the long weekend might not be happening. Though it's going to be a busy one anyway, what with AwesomeCon on Saturday.
Got the notice today that my Comic Con badge has shipped! I'm not quite sure what will happen if the studios force the actors to strike for more than a few days, but I still can't help but get excited. Another thing to do this weekend will probably be to book the plane tickets.
And hopefully we won't mess up the days. Mom and booked our tickets to Britain and back yesterday, getting thrown by the British Airways website going and changing around the dates in the search results, until she finally called the airline and booked that way-and realized five minutes after we hung up that she'd booked the flight there for a day earlier than we were supposed to arrive! She has now decided that might be for the better, since otherwise we would've had only a handful of hours to get from London to Oxford before the conference started, and now we don't have to worry about that. But it means we have to find somewhere to stay for the first night there, before the rooms they're providing us with become available.
