missizzyYesterday during our grocery run, mom looked at the supermarket flowers, only to find this week they'd turned too red and pink for our tastes. I joked it was a pity Super Bowl parties don't usually include flowers, since at least then there would've been a bit more variety. (Though I suppose the colors for this year's teams don't really lend themselves to that.) As we walked through a Giant with a few absurd-looking displays of snacks for sale, she proceeded to ask a bunch of questions about the event before dismissing it as an overly violent capitalist scam.
It'll presumably interfere with the day's watch parties, too. I did attend one yesterday, and on the second viewing, the whole dynamic of the final battle was better than I'd initially thought it was. Still, the rest of the season was stronger. I followed the streamer in question, too, though since she's from across the pond, I'm not sure how many of her streams I'll be able to watch.
