Last weekend I finally saw Thor: Love and Thunder. I went in hearing more ill than good of it, and I had been spoiled by Jane's death, and had also heard it described as a fridging. Which it honestly didn't feel like to me, if only because it was very much her choice to die and driven by her own story. I would have rather the character lived so we could get more or her, but then again, maybe the next Thor movie will end up involving Valhalla somehow, especially since they could bring a bunch of characters back that way. Meanwhile, the movie was loads of fun to watch and the end left me feeling too cheered to quibble on things like the plot making sense.
(At least until I heard about Nichelle Nichols death. There hasn't been so many parts the original Star Trek series that have had as much impact as she did.)
After a week of technical headaches, culminating in a scare when my computer had trouble booting up this morning, I am again spending too hot a weekend in, as well as Monday. Just as well to isolate a bit before doing air travel. Going to be trying to record my latest song before we leave, but I have doubts as to managing it.
