missizzyWent with my mother to Tyson's Corner-and it turned out the real problem was she was using the wrong address. It turned out to be a good thing I was with her, because she wouldn't have made it to the medical facility if I hadn't been there to open up the phone app, type in its name, and direct her along the route. Although those who said years ago that the Apple maps app is really bad for navigating weren't kidding. It does not show you which way you are currently facing or going, not really. It still got us there, but I don't know if it would've if we hadn't been pretty close. Now, of course, she has the right address, and I should not be needed in the future after all.
Today, meanwhile, was my trip to the dentist to fix my chipped tooth-again. The woman who filled it in warned me it's not going to be as strong, and I'm going to have to exercise care while eating anything harder from now on. I'm going to be 38 in a little more than two weeks; perhaps long-term tooth problems were inevitable at this point.
