missizzyALA has sent us emails this week, repeating their intention of having their annual meeting in person in DC this summer. I'm still wondering, but of course I'll be obliged to attend either way. Meanwhile my mother's long-delayed tour to Ireland might be happening this summer, but she might bail on it, if only because she doesn't want to risk testing positive over there and being trapped in a hotel for two weeks!
On the other hand, it now looks like we're still working remotely until at least mid-March, and probably longer. On the other hand, I did return to Old Town on Monday, and even watched the annual President's Day parade a little bit. And I'll probably be going again tomorrow, with the specific intention of looking for bookends. After many years of letting most of the books on my shelves gather dust and putting the ones I was reading wherever I could fit them, I am finally trying to put them back in order, and I could do with another pair. Even with a bunch of books now stored under my bed, I'm a little worried about having enough room. Although my sinuses are very much not happy with me over this venture.
