missizzyNo sooner did I order my new headphones and think my phone problems put behind me than it takes a tumble to the ground Wednesday morning, and the headphone adapter promptly stops working. At least I hope it's the adapter. It should be, especially since the airpods I had put in the drawer because they literally won't fit in my ears worked fine when I tested them. The new headphones arrived today, but first I have to go get an new adapter for them tomorrow. So by the time I read the spoilers for yesterday's State of the Role, I was relieved to not worry how long it would take me to be able to watch the video.
As for the announcement itself...well, at least we have it confirmed they're all sitting together again. But I remain wary of an entire campaign set in Marquet. Matt may be aware of the problem of Orientalism the way he probably wasn't back in 2016, and he might be better about it than he was, but if the history of these people is any indication, there will be blunders, and it will be painful. Plus there are no good choices when it comes to the race everyone plays, unless they all play things like Tieflings and Genasi and Warforged.
And really, I'm already risking plenty going to NYCC for this show next week. I'm not throwing in an extra trip to the movies on top of that. I'll watch the premiere from home, thank you very much.
