The opening scenes and title sequence on Black Widow left me totally sold on the movie. The rest of it...well, it didn't unsell me on it. I really liked the idea of the story and the two new female characters, though I fear nobody really knew what they were supposed to do with the Red Guardian guy. At the end of the day, I'll happily take it. When it comes down to it, the majority of Marvel movies have been good and fun and engaging, and I'm glad to have them back. The trailers included Shang-Chi, and I'm not sure what to make of it yet, but I'll find out in September.
Whether I'll go back to any cineplexes before then is another matter. I caught a showing in one of the smaller upstairs theaters, and there weren't many people there, but I wish very much that I hadn't been the only one masked. Maybe if the raves hit hard enough for Suicide Squad I'll go back for that one.
