missizzyIt was so windy out today I tied my hair back before going to be vaccinated, since I expected to be standing around in line outside for half an hour. But there was barely any line at all when I got there. It took an eternity to get into the garage, and it was crowded on the first level, but the second two were much emptier. Maybe at some point one should stop expecting these things to make sense.
No hysterics or hyperventilating, though. I ended up only staying a little longer than the normal 15 minutes, because I was feeling so calm afterwards. Also, the tent we were in was rattling something crazy with the wind, so heading home was probably better for my mental state anyway.
Except at home, as the winds continued, power ended up going out minutes before we would've put the chicken on. It came back on quickly enough, but that left us worried about trying to cook anything that took too long, and we ran back out to get a pizza, which only takes half an hour. Seemed like the prudent decision too, when we saw at least one tree blown down on the road! We actually haven't lost power since, though.
So far things are going much as they did last time, with my arm currently mildly sore. I may go for the painkillers earlier this time.
