missizzyI am now nearly done with episode 9 of The Mighty Nein. I've finally been able to watch Dani's second recap video, which was worth the wait. My experience of it continues to be heavily influenced by knowing the backstories and seeing the later episodes. So I've just watched the bathhouse scene where I've enjoyed the Beauyasha flirtation way more than I should, seeing recently how it's turned out, not enjoyed them forcing Nott into the water and making that comment about drowning when I know she has drowned, actually, and felt foreboding at the mention of the eyes on Molly. After watching the most recent Talks Machina I wish even more he'd lived. His tellings off of Lucien would've been absolutely priceless.
I am not looking forward to the end of this episode, even though I've seen a clip of Caleb and Jester's fight already. But I was surprised by how delighted I was to finally see the Traveler. It's easy to take Artagan's appearances for granted in the later episodes, but Matt did a good job making us and Jester both wait for it when she was a lower-level cleric, and we didn't know his deal. I'm also with Sam; I want to go and see Pumat again.
