The snow is now steadily melting, and the highs even hit the high 50s today! Winter has often been a short season in DC recently.
It's possible enough my watching of skating for the year has also newly come to an end, since I watched Russian Junior Nationals, as impressed as ever by their fleet of junior dancers, as well as their winning pairs team. Though it being exactly 12 hours ahead this year, while at least making the time zone conversions easy, has left me a touch sleep deprived right now. Last night I also ended up watching an entire episode of Critical Role live for the first time, trying to divide my attention between its second half and the dancers. It was certainly an interesting one to watch after Tuesday night's Talks Machina...
But also, I am now an hour away from finishing episode 114 of Vox Machina. My pace has slown down a bit these final episodes, because these final battles are a lot to get through, even when I know how it ends, and had heard a lot of their bigger moments too. The stress the players go through, the terror living through the actual airing of that episode must have inspired...well, the recent episodes of the second campaign are giving me some idea of what it must have been like to experience this story as it was first written, but the Mighty Nein haven't gotten quite that intense just yet. I'm sort of looking forward to the end, except I'm not sure how I'll explain it to my mom if I start crying on the bike machine.
