Mar. 26th, 2020 06:26 pmTuesday my teleworking experience started with my laptop refusing to connect, leading to a mad dash back the Pentagon to try to get things set up properly on it before the conference center closed down at noon. Even after I got back home, the laptop was still struggling to connect to our remote drives or do anything in Microsoft Excel. Basically I have been working around various malfunctions ever since, though things have very slowly been improving.
At least I can now listen to music while I work. I haven't really listening to current music in months, so I heard a lot of hits for the first time this week. Unfortunately, I'm already getting annoyed at several of them. I really like the Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" though.
I'm now through much of The Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, and my affections for the author and his wife are greatly increased after last night, even if he went and torpedoed one of the plot bunnies that have been forming in my head. I'll write the other one once I finish reading.
