Last Days Going In

It was right before leaving today that I learned the metro is now demanding only essential personnel use it starting tomorrow. Too late to arrange things so I wouldn't have to then, so I'll be using it for one last day, during which I'll likely sign a telework agreement, since I don't think my leave is going to last me through this. It was too much to hope for that I could avoid that.
Today was a day for sad news in general. Skaters and fans alike got a painful reminder that it's not just COVID that'll kill you, with the death of Chris Reed. I've rewatched his and Muramoto's cherry blossom free from the Olympics, which takes on a new sad meaning when one of the skaters skating it was with us for only a short time.
Also going to miss Critical Role. When I got home, I consoled myself by ordering The Explorer's Guide to Wildemount,, but I suspect it'll take a little longer to show up than most deliveries do. Once it is here, I'm got two fic ideas rampaging through my head I'll be ready to write. I still intend to take a good deal of leave, and after tomorrow will probably only be leaving the house for groceries, so there should be some time.
