One thing I noticed while running around yesterday is that most of the trees are in bloom around DC right now. Peak bloom for the cherry blossoms is now expected to be this coming week. Whether anyone will be able to go out and appreciate it, of course, is another matter. Though if I'm not excused from going to work for any of the next three days, I'll still think I can step outside for a fourth. I'm glad now we had a baby cherry tree put in our own yard last year. It's a bit behind the other trees on the street, only starting to bud. I think the weather craziness has had the trees blooming further apart from each other than usual.
I also finished The Secret Commonwealth yesterday. Given how heavily influenced it's been by the events of recent years, I'm now wondering how Pullman will incorporate current ones into the final installment of the trilogy...
