When I first started really getting into Critical Role, I decided I would nonetheless not subscribe to the Twitch channel, if only because the timing of the live broadcast would make watching it without nodding off pretty difficult for me. Except that while watching episode 87 yesterday, I learned from Taliesin's monologue that I could do it for free from having Amazon Prime. This morning I decided that if nothing else, a free chance to watch before Monday definitely should be taken.
Twitch is not the easiest of platforms to deal with, I have discovered. After dealing with password rules stricter than much of the internet, I first got bombarded with the demand to choose three interests, two too many for that website, when I was just trying to verify my account. Nor do I appreciate the autoplay on the front page. Nonetheless I am now subscribed to the right channel for the next thirty days, and I'm holding out hope they won't make the regular renewal after that too difficult.
I might even try taking naps Thursday evening before 10, which would at least allow me to watch live until the mid-episode break. That would make it pretty easy to finish watching over the weekend, and allow me to truly participate in this fandom.
