More bad luck
Oct. 17th, 2026 12:08 pmThere have been times of late where I've worried I've been cursed with bad luck. One certainly is forced to wonder if the week you have Covid is the week Giant gets hacked and it is suddenly impossible to order food from them. Their website suggested we use the Doordash website, but that just led to mom and me wasting an hour, at the end of which it refused to take two different credit cards. We managed to order groceries enough for the week from the Safeway website, and we even managed to get them delivered and put away before I even ate lunch, so that was not in the way of San Diego's returning registration, but...well, now I'm looking at a wait time of more than an hour, and today is not looking like a day where I should hope to get anything. Unless everyone's finances have gotten so bad that anyone who still has money to go can get at least a Sunday badge, which seems sadly possible, but I still think that's more likely to only happen in the general sale again.
I tested positive again on Thursday, and my symptoms continue to diminish, but I've actually felt more tired this morning than I have during the week. That may be after-effects, of course. And I'm not sure I should really complain about anything when my poor sister, who almost certainly caught it from us, is currently in a terrible way; her case, while apparently not as bad as past times she's had it, is still proving to be a bad one.
