(no subject)

I have started to adjust my schedule further to deal with the heat. Saturday I went to the dry cleaners almost as soon as it opened. That would've been the only time I would've set foot outside the house this weekend, except things had gotten to the point where my iPad simply *had* to be replaced. So Sunday, I headed out at ten, hoping to make the walk to the metro, at least, before it got infernal out. This meant I actually reached Pentagon City before the Apple store was open. I wasn't the only one. There were enough of us when they opened the doors that almost all the salespeople were immediately occupied. I think we were all trying to get our business done before the heat of the day hit.
Though I ended up staying at the mall longer, to get new sandals as well. I need a pair that aren't going for San Diego, and now I don't have to worry about going anywhere else to get them before then. Turned in our old phones which we replaced months ago at the Apple store too, so we don't have to worry about those anymore either.
At the time, the forecast claimed the highs would hit 100 next weekend! Last I looked, that had been lowered a couple of degrees, but it's still going to be terribly hot from here on in. We'll have to venture out around lunchtime to vote tomorrow, and I'll need to buy shaving cream this week, too, but at least I now don't have to go back into the office until Friday.
