There were actually at least a couple of people who knew enough about Big Trouble in Little China to recognize and appreciate the entrance of the action figure into our gift exchange. Unfortunately, the guy who opened it wasn't one of them, and those who were didn't try to take it from him either. He noted he had another White Elephant exchange coming up, and said he'd regift it there. I suppose Mr. Burton may have to go through a few exchanges before he finds his forever home. Unless someone just puts him up on eBay; they could probably make some money that way.
I have probably watched too much Sims 4 on Twitch, because now I have gone and downloaded the game myself. It's been a decade and half since I last played any kind of Sims, and I've shamelessly taken advantage of the tips and will probably do most of the discovery quests to get my feet under me. Just the base game so far; I'll look into the expansion packs once I more feel like I know what I'm doing.
