It's Finally Happened
Oct. 24th, 2020 12:55 pmThis week, I officially found myself missing my commute. Not very wise of me, I suppose, since I use a poorly and sometimes even dangerously managed metro system, but now I'm thinking about the view you get during the fall, and being able to just sit or stand about and play with my phone.
Part it might have been that this week was the Depository Library Conference. Which of course was virtual this year, which for me basically meant it was all work, no bagels. Also yesterday I attended a session about the National Science Foundation, and they showed us a picture of their new building-which they were not at, and you could see the metro in the photo. I think I might know exactly where it is, except my memory of what's where is starting to blur.
By last night I was guiltily relieved to be able to tune into Skate America. Especially when Nathan Chen skated. That guy has just managed to get even better since we last saw him at Nationals.
