Furloughed for a day

I actually didn't think before Friday I'd get furloughed, because the library isn't funded directly out of the DoD budget. But they furloughed us anyway, after we all sat around for much of the morning waiting for the lady with the paperwork to arrive. I got my hair trimmed, had lunch in Pentagon City, tried to go for a walk in Old Town, ran home when my tried to use my phone to see how Congress had voted and the battery plummeted from 81% to 11% in a matter of minutes, and arrived to the news the latest CR had passed. I fear the Democrats have given up trying to save DACA and decided to save CHIP while they still could.
At least it gives me a chance to finally post this:
