Jan. 12th, 2018 10:00 pmThis week at work started with us all ducking out early to avoid an ice storm. Then things got a little more pleasant out, which was a good thing, since I ended up actually going to the Government Publishing Office yesterday. We'd been told there were issues with the latest batch of books needing binding that needed to be discussed in person. Turns out it was what we'd worried about already: some of them were too far gone to bind. They made them nice protective boxes, though. Then we got the grand tour of their printing apparatus, including where those books that could be rebound were sitting waiting for their new covers.
Today we got the 59 minute rule, which would've meant another early dismissal, except word only reached me about ten minutes before I would've left for the gym anyway! Though at least doing everything ten minutes earlier actually allowed me to catch an earlier bus. Which meant dinner was earlier, which meant I had time to blog about all the day's withdrawals. Sorry to see Ashley go; I would've liked to have watch her one last time. Also for there to be a performance of that free program up on YouTube NBC might be less interested in pulling and then not making a video available of themselves (least from what I've heard so far).
At least now I've got three days to rest and blog Canadian Nationals, and the warm weather even is supposed to hold on for one more day before apparently the ice comes back. I don't try to stream things on Dailymotion that aren't the Nebelhorn Trophy; I really prefer not to use that damn site at all. So I'm definitely going somewhere tomorrow, though I'm not sure where yet.
