May. 30th, 2014 10:01 pmDiscovered earlier this week I have put on 30 pounds in the last few months, which is a problem because it leaves me with continual back pains. My mother is convinced it's my meds, and has managed to convince me to halve my dose of Lexapro, though at the moment I'm questioning its effectiveness anyway and am sorely tempted to say "fuck it" and go off the antidepressants completely. My sister insists it's genetic for this to happen to us at my age and proposes ways of coping. My doctor insists it can't be the antidepressents but is proposing I switch to Zoloft, which my mother did not react well to. Right now these pills are probably causing me as much stress as they're taking away!
On the other hand, it did get me to finally take a look at the Pentagon's athletic center, which they ought to provide maps of; that place is huge. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since to accommodate all the military personnel with desk jobs who need to keep their fitness up to standards alone it has to be, but I was still a bit amazed. Now as well as new normal clothes I need workout gear. Shopping tomorrow.
