The results of the testing came back, and the news is about a good as one could hope for once the cancer was confirm; we caught it unusually early; it's small and not spread at all. So if dad can just make it through surgery his chances are much better than we thought. Still he has four doctors working on him, and Monday or Tuesday they will meet to discuss, amount other things, whether the surgery or chemotherapy should be done first.
My glasses were waiting for me when I got home. My first thought was that they looked dorky; not what I thought they would look like. I keep thinking I look like someone in them, but I can't remember who. My second was that I actually saw better in them; things looked sharp. Now my thoughts are mainly how I'm going to manage the cleaning; already they aren't as clear as they were when I first put them on four hours ago.
