missizzyDid my first attempt at recording my latest song today, even though I knew beforehand my sinuses weren't idea for it. I don't think I'm going to try again for another week.
Still, I keep expecting it to be more unpleasant out than it is. Wednesday morning I even went out with an umbrella I ended up not really needing. Indeed, by the time my train pulled into Pentagon City, and I then learned the Pentagon metro station was flooded and the train wouldn't be stopping there, I stepped outside to find the morning's light rain stopped. There were people inside the station claiming there was a shuttle, but I wasn't the only one who ignored them and just walked the rest of the way. Looking at the tweets and photos later that morning, I was very lucky indeed. The station was even opened again roughly half an hour before I got out early.
Tonight we have my mother's birthday dinner in the Olive Garden, a day late, because we didn't want to try going out to eat on Black Friday. I may even try to go out earlier in the day, if only because I'm probably going to need the exercise.
