Jun. 22nd, 2019 09:24 pmAlthough I went to the convention center yesterday to pick up by bag and badge, today was the first day I actually attended events at the ALA convention. There were four of us there, which was a good thing, because it meant I could get a ride there, without which I couldn't have gotten there in time for my first session. And that one might have been the most interesting of the day to me, since it started with a presentation on local call numbers and subject headings, the former of which we've created in the Pentagon Library for our often rare accounts of regimental histories. I also attended sessions on government information and documents, and one on digitization.
I went home on my own, which gave me time to finish Jessica Jones. I'm afraid it was not an ending I was at all pleased with, and at this point I want Hulu to try their luck with a Defenders series once they can, just so we can see all those characters get more resolution to their stories. Now my sinuses are acting up again, and I hope my current headache doesn't last through tomorrow, when I'm planning to go back for two more sessions.
