One week in
May. 31st, 2019 10:00 pmSo far, the trip to work through the closed-down section of the metro hasn't been too bad. I don't need to catch an earlier bus, they aren't making us wait, and the view during the bus ride is even kind of nice. But the trip home is definitely taking longer, since that's when the rush-hour traffic is at its worse. I fear I shall not be home before six much this summer, although today we got to go home 59 minutes early.
Today was a day where the morning involved my learning the Newt Gingrich has written a political thriller (without even any listed co-author), and it looks to be a first in an ongoing series, and of course the latest mass shooting happened just down south. At this point, what's the use of saying anything?
And mom and I are going into DC tomorrow, when we have tickets for Love Labor's Lost. It's a really good thing we don't try to get to the Folger on the metro anymore. I've seen this play twice, though I was pretty young the first time, and it's always seemed more weird to me than anything else, but apparently this production got good reviews. I'm hoping to see Rocket Man, but it'll probably have to wait until next weekend.
