Yes, it seems frightening to see how unsafe the world has become. Only a week ago I was in Paris near the same site where some of the shootings happened, so reading about the atrocities commited feels unreal. It has not been 'safe' anywhere for a long time, for much longer than 9/11. Nevertheless, there is no option but to go out and continue to live, and meet people worth meeting, see sights worth seeing, hug your friends and continue on a daily basis.
