Feb. 15th, 2015 03:28 pmThe wind's been blowing all week. When we librarians have stepped into the corridor between our offices and other rooms, we've been able to hear it whistle something fierce, not to mention feeling the chill. Last night while trying to watch Four Continents conclude(though my stream froze and wouldn't reload right before the final group), it seemed to get louder and louder, and louder it remains even today; this morning wind chills dipped blow zero. A bit of snow and ice on the ground too, which we had to clear off the car when we went to the supermarket; within it another water bottle had frozen. We parked as close as we could get and spent as little time outside as possible.
Working at the piano today on a bare bones version of Smashmouth's "Walking on the Sun" that I planned out yesterday after it popped into my head at work this week. But even an easy repetitive accompaniment is hard to play while singing at the same time; my brain keeps struggling to do both at once. I was thinking of recording myself singing it tomorrow, but now I may work on it another week.
