I'm going to San Diego Comic Con!

Three years after my first attempt to get into SDCC, I made a second this morning. When the queue gave me a wait time of over an hour I didn't hold out much hope, especially once both Friday and Saturday badges were gone and I still had a wait time on the wrong side of 45 minutes. But said wait time shrunk, and I think Thursday and Sunday badges took longer to go than they did last time I tried. I actually got into the website with Sunday badges still available, but when I clicked to put two badges in my cart only the Thursday one materialized there; I guess the last of the Sunday badges must have gone into other carts in the ten seconds it took me to scroll down! But I got one of the last Thursday ones, safely purchased minutes before they too sold out.
So if everything goes according to our loose family plans right now, I shall have one day at Comic Con and then three to otherwise enjoy San Diego, though I'll look into the off-site events, of course. Maybe for my first trip there, only going one day isn't the worse idea anyway.
