One year closer to the end

I actually wouldn't necessarily say this year was worse than the last, unlike the years that have preceded it. In some ways, it even improved. But it was when the holding pattern became all too clear, and already we've got multiple reasons to believe 2022's going to get worse again. John Oliver didn't cancel, but I'm starting to get to the point where I really wish he had.
Though my D&D group also met this week. And I made an error that I thought my character might make and got possessed-and the only reason it didn't result in a TPK is because the DM forgot I was carrying the scary deadly magic staff we stole for safekeeping a few weeks back. That one's going to haunt me for a while. We have recently discovered we have the most fun engaging in crazy hijinks, though how many of those there'll be time for when we've pissed off almost everyone in our current location and one of them is mind controlling the conspiracy theorists we went to meet remains to be seen.
