Gonna be a long week

Well, we knew this cast was going to make blunders, and maybe they could've made worse ones than their new intro. The idea was certainly a cool one in theory, and costuming for it was always going to be a tricky business. (Although none of them playing a POC would make dressing up as their characters an option, if they could figure out what to do with Sam) But after Brian's white fragility rose its ugly head...and when I was liking him more lately, too. (I'll probably forgive him eventually. But definitely not this week.) Now everything in our refuge from the world is ugly and painful, and who knows how long it's going to stay that way.
My painkillers completely failing me for a couple hours in the wee hours of today didn't help matters either. The mostly worked otherwise, but I'm feeling too tired to fully react to anything right now. Nor did the various things breaking, from my phone screen last night to my coat's zipper handle this morning. I suppose I should be glad they're both still working.
Just have to get to the end of the week, when I'm taking the next one off completely, and between my phone repair appointment Saturday and hopefully seeing the Denzel Washington MacBeth on Christmas Day, I have nothing planned. Maybe I'll just sleep a lot....

Yeah, I knew there was going to be something with CR but still, I wish it wasn't. And Brian... oh, Brian. He's done this like 3 times before and each time he says "yeah I reacted wrong and I will do better" and then he somehow doesn't do better. And he has too many white dude followers for it not to have an effect.

I wonder if they're going to make a statement about it (can't decide if I think that would be a good idea or a bad one). I'm trying to focus on other things for now but man, I hope something eases soon.

I'm just hoping they get a new intro at some point. Maybe an animated one again?
