Went to the Grand Prix Finale viewing party Friday night/Saturday morning which got shrunk down to three people when two other intended attendees got the flu. Really, it seems everyone's dropping like flies this year. Today I arrived in the office to the news we had yet another person out with it. They've all been getting better so far, even my aged coworker, but still. The party was fun, though they did insist on yelling at Patrick Chan to fall(though really, if you want to lose points, Zayak violations are much more efficient and less jarring to watch) and things like that. Also we had quite a time digging for working streams, but we found a really good commentless one that didn't freeze too much, and she was able to show it on her TV. We even did the same with a YouTube of Yu-Na's short, thought that was much lower quality.
Overslept yesterday morning, was woken up by my mom at seven, did a mad scramble and went to catch the bus 45 minutes later with my hair still wet. Maybe not the best idea what with the whole flu thing, but so far I haven't gotten sick...on the way out of the building today, a random guy asked me how tall I was, and commented he was sure I get that question all the time. Actually, I don't, though I told him anyway. He seemed uncertain as to whether to believe I wasn't that far off five feet. He claimed to be six. I expressed skepticism in kind.
