I passed the point of no return in Baldur's Gate tonight, taking the boat to the morphic pool to start the end game. I'm now at the point of gathering allies, which I decided to leave for next time. The thrill of finally reaching the big climax mixes with the bittersweetness of it being almost over. It won't be my last run, of course. I've already decided I'll start a Gale origin run next. And if I ever do get a computer that can actually handle this game properly, I'll definitely do mods. But it'll be different, when I've played through it all already.
It continues to be annoyingly cold outside. I keep thinking I'll go see Wicked, and then balking at going through the cold to do so. I was quite relieved when my sister gave me a ride to the dry cleaners today. We also talked out Christmas gifts, and her suggestions were accompanied by Amazon links, so that at least was easy to deal with.
