Nov. 22nd, 2023 07:46 pmIt turns out I got the account wrong about my sister: it was actually her husband, who works in special events lighting, who got sick first! That was now a week ago, and neither of them has been hospitalized yet, so that's probably a good sign. She and mom are even talking about her coming with us to adopt new kittens sometime in the new year. Ian will not have to spend the rest of his life as as a lone and lonely cat.
We need time to mourn Clarissa first, though. All three of us, though we don't know if Ian has realized she's dead. He almost certainly realized she was very sick, and he knows mom took her off in the cat carrier on Monday and came back without her, but who knows if he's put those pieces together. I'm not sure how much it's sunk in for me yet, though I find myself wanting to find Ian and hug him at random times.
We've actually been invited for a Friendsgiving meal out at an Italian restaurant tomorrow. I'll watch the Macy's parade as usual as well, though I don't know if I'll do any of the MST3K marathon, especially since the Twitch channel has gotten impossible with the ad breaks.
