(no subject)

My new passport now sits in my important documents drawer, contained within one of the two passport/card holders mom ordered for the purpose as soon as my sister suggested them. Generally I prefer to keep it with me, but she's gotten paranoid and insisted we keep the passports super duper safe at least until the trip to Britain has come and gone. I've got a new cardholder in my bag for general use as well, though I need something new to carry cash in, since the new bag won't hold my old purse. Just one of the things I will probably end up buying tomorrow, when we are planning a lengthy day out, including going to see Oppenheimer. Which, to be honest, I'm not feeling terribly enthused about. The more talk I hear about it and the Barbie movie both (and my mom is starting to disown people she's read on the internet if they express support for the latter!), the less I want to do with either film!
But I am now discovering there are going to be too many weekends where between my age and the worsening heat, I will not be up to walking anywhere. I might even start looking into the bus that goes through Duke Street, see if I can use that during the weekend to get anywhere worth going. At least one days when it doesn't approach a hundred out! Yesterday apparently the heat index went into the 110s, to an extent it actually hasn't before.
