(no subject)

Christmas presents are all bought and wrapped, and plans are mostly made-mom and I will probably decide on the Christmas Day itself whether we'll try to go to a movie by ourselves, when the next day will see us watching Glass Onion with my sister and her husband. She's also worried about us getting into a Chinese restaurant, but this definitely is not last year there. She also wanted to take me to the Signature's Into the Woods after going with a friend on Saturday, but I had the feeling it would be a bit much, even before we confirmed we'd be going out and doing things for three days after, since we'll be doing our typical Boxing Day museum visit on the 27th instead. With the library closing next week, I've taken off until Thursday, when I'll have the big ebook update to do.
I just need to get through this week first. A ridiculously cold week all of a sudden, with my having to wait for the bus with it being in the 20s out. (Though I did end up teleworking an extra day last week, when ice on the road complicated going in enough to make it feel not worth it.)
Which maybe made it feel all the crazier when last night, one of the guys in my Call of the Netherdeep group, a Hawaii resident, was actually playing with a really scary thunderstorm raging all around him; his mic caught the sound of a downpour more than once, and it sounded overwhelming. And after the whole thing with the volcano, too. We don't know right now if we're playing next week, though we ended on a bit of a cliffhanger...
