Oct. 15th, 2022 08:01 pmThe discord for my in-person D&D group is gone, which is a sure sign that it truly is over. I've still got the online group, but that doesn't get me out and seeing people the way the in-person group did, so I'll probably attend another meeting to form and fill new groups. At least I'll have a character all ready.
I also really would let the metro to be reopening within the next few weeks. As of right now that's, only been delayed a couple of weeks, but the general history of the DC metro is such that it feels all too likely there will be more delays after that. And right now, I really do not want to spend time on a shuttle bus stuffed full of people who probably won't be masked, if only since I have managed a work commute that avoids that. But that means I can't go very many places until it reopens.
It also makes me very glad I'll only be going in one day next week, as Monday thru Wednesday I will be attended the virtual Depository Library Conference. Even if the question now lingers over that one as to whether it will ever be in person again.
